All animals are far more sensitive than we are and are able to feel the energy instantly as their senses are very acute. Sometimes for animals on their first experience of the energy, they may move away from it or look startled as they feel the new sensation of the energy. Once they have been allowed to feel nd adjust to the energy they become relaxed and settle happily into the session.
As animals rely on their senses in everyday life they sense the energy flowing and are aware when they have received enough. They will not accept any more than is needed and will let you know by walking away from the energy. Sometimes, when the animal is new to Reiki, they will move away and come back a few moments later but in general when they move away they are telling you it is the end of the session and the energy will be stopped. With this in mind, it cannot be stated how long an animal session will last as it depends purely on the individual animal some may take 30 minutes others may take 5.
Reiki can deepen the bond between human and animal.
When you animal has received a Reiki treatment, his body like a humans will go through a cleansing process. During this time it is very important that the animal has access to plenty of fresh water as the body uses this to help detox the body. During the detox stage, you may notice that your animals toilet routine may increase and also notice an increase in the passing of wind and stools.
Your pet will more than likely feel very sleepy for a few hours after the treatment, do not be alarmed by this as this is perfectly normal. Please allow pet time to sleep as this is the Reiki relaxing the body as the body begins to self heal.
Reiki is a complementary therapy and is in no way meant as an alternative to professional Veterinary Care. If you feel your animal has a problem, please consult your vet immediately.
Reiki works well alongside prescribed medication and can help accelerate the healing process. If your animal is on medication please DO NOT STOP this medication unless it is by instruction of your vet.
*****Always advise your vet about any complimentary therapies you are considering for your pets*****

Distant Healing - £15.00 *You are never pressured into booking follow up visits*. *This is always left up to the owner to decide*
The Veterinary Surgery Act of 1966 amended 1996, prohibits anyone other than a qualified veterinary surgeon from treating animals, including diagnosis of ailments and giving advice on such diagnosis. However the healing of animals by "contact healing" by the laying on of hands or "distant healing" is legal.
However the Protection of Animals Act 1911, requires that if an animal clearly needs treatment from a veterinary surgeon the owner must obtain this.
Therefore, before treating animals it is advisable to seek assurance from the owner that the animal has been examined by a vet.
To give emergency first aid to animals for the purpose of saving life or relieving pain is permissible under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 Schedule 3.
